Every member of the Center Target Sports family is passionate about the shooting sports industry and is here to share their experiences and excitement with you.

Stephanie Roberts, Manager

Stephanie has more than 9 years of experience in retail sales with over 8 years of that working for a national outdoor retailer. She was a Co-Manager at Northwest Outfitters - ORVIS, where she was responsible for customer service, sales, ordering, special orders, and customer concerns.  She also has experience in providing exceptional customer service in a variety of settings including day-to-day operation of retail stores covering sales, display setup, merchandising, stocking, opening, and closing duties. She has been with CTS since March 2009 and we are lucky to have her. If you have any ideas or concerns or need to special order anything, please ask Stephanie...she will greet you with a smile and do all she can to help you.

John Balbi

John comes to us from a plant management manufacturing background. He is passionate about the shooting sports and loves being part of the Center Target Sports team.   John is our resident computer guru and keeps Center Target up to date.  He will greet you with a smile and do all he can to make your shooting experience a great one.

Ken Cramer

Ken was born and raised Seattle's Northend. A former Marine, he spent 33 years in law-enforcement. Ken was a LE firearms instructor and in charge of his department's firearms training program. Ken may look familiar to some of you as he came to us via Cabelas.

Even though all the employees sign students up for classes, Ken is responsible for the class book and making sure everything runs smoothly.  He has also started teaching some of beginner classes here at CTS and we are lucky to have him.  If you have any concerns or questions about classes, feel free to ask for Ken.

 

Cameron Essary

Cam has been a lifelong gun enthusiast. Growing up in Arizona, this self-described “desert rat” spent many hours of enjoyment hunting and plinking in the Sonoran Desert. Raising his family on 20 wooded acres in Northeastern Washington, he created his own shooting range and taught his 5 kids to shoot.

Always interested in learning more about his passion, Cam has studied gun-related publications for decades, building a wide-ranging store of knowledge.

His years as a steel fabricator and mechanic, combined with his fascination with firearms, made transitioning into gunsmithing a sure fit. He went from an active hobbyist to a certified gunsmith in 2005 and is Center Target Sports’ in-house gunsmith. Cam’s natural gift of “making something out of nothing” lends itself well to fabricating impossible-to-find parts and pieces.

 

Joe Herbert

Joe is an Army veteran and retired as a Speical Agent from the Coast Guard reserve. He still works part time for the US Marshal's office. Joe and his wife Roxy moved to North Idaho after retiring from the Snohomish County Sheriff's Dept.

Joe enjoys flying helicopters and riding motorcycles and as you can tell from his photo, he will always greet you with a smile.  Joe has been a great addition to our staff and will help you anyway he can. 

Tom Keys

Tom has been with us for about 2 1/2 years now, and is the youngest we have on staff and while he only works here one day a week, he has many other things to keep him busy.  He is fast approaching his fourth year with the Idaho State Police and has just left the Army Reserve where he was an ROTC Instructor.  He shoots the Glock tournaments, IDPA, Three Gun Matches, and  Bullseye.  He was recently selected to be an Idaho POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training) certified Firearms Instructor for ISP and is planning on trying for the SWAT Team during their next SWAT Indoctrination program. 

He is also a husband and the father of a brand new baby boy.  When he finds time to pursue other interests, he can usually be found making home improvements, reloading ammo in his garage, or learning to repair/refinsh firearms.  There's also a good chance you can find him at a pawn shop looking for the next "steal".
 
Before Tom came to ISP and us he grew up on a ranch in Oregon and entered the US Army as an infantry soldier after high school.  He served with the 25thID(L) and  and acted as a Crew Served Weapons Gunner, Squad Gunner, Initial Entry, Team Leader, and Squad Designated Marksman.  He was awarded a Combat Infantryman's Badge, Expert Infantryman's Badge, and various awards for conduct and service.  Even though he is only here one day a week, he looks forward to working with you and helping in anyway possible.

Jack McElroy

For over 49 years Jack has been actively involved in competitive marksmanship as a competitor, instructor and referee.

From 1960 thru the late 1980s, he participated in competitive "National Match", three-gun-aggregate pistol events. In 1983, and again in 1988, he was a competitor at the National Matches held in Camp Perry Ohio and also attended the US Army Small Arms firing School. He held an Outdoor Pistol, Expert classification

Beginning in the mid 1980s and thru the 1990s, heheld four NRA Instructor Certificates; Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and "Voluntary Practical Firearms". Also for 8 years during the 1990s he held a Certified Skeet Referee credential and currently, Skeet and pistol shooting are his hobbies.  Jack conducts the weekly Bullseye Shoot andI runs the monthly GSSF “Glock” shoots.

 

Chuck McKee

Chuck came to Idaho five years ago with his wife of thirty-six years, Maureen.  They have two children and now have four grandchildren.  Chuck was in outside sales for thirty years with one of the nation’s largest title companies.  

He loves all types of fishing, saltwater or fresh. He participated in competitive bass fishing tournaments for over ten years.  Assisting one of the premier fishing rod manufacturers in trade shows and was on their pro staff.  

Golf is also one of his vices.  He can go play golf at the drop of the hat and forget about everything that needs to be done.  He currently has a single digit handicap and is constantly working to lower that.

Chuck is always dedicated to meeting the desires of the customer the best he knows how.  He knows you are waiting to get on the range and he is always striving to get you there in the quickest way.
